On February 25, Zhu Anqing, spokesperson of China Coast Guard Donghai Branch, stated that Fujian Coast Guard conducted routine law-enforcement patrols in the waters near Kinmen. Since the beginning of February, vessel task forces of Fujian Coast Guard have enhanced law-enforcement patrols near Kinmen to strengthen control over the waters. It is an effective step to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese fishermen, including those from the Taiwan region, and their safety and property, and to ensure orderly navigation and operation in the waters around Xiamen and Kinmen.
