On January 23, China Coast Guard Vessels Dongsha and Sanmen continued search and rescue operations near Huangyan Dao after a foreign cargo ship encountered distress. Rescue efforts are still underway.As of 6:00 p.m., 17 crew members had been rescued, 15 of whom are in stable condition, while two were confirmed dead.China Coast Guard will continue operations in the area and provide the rescued crew with food supplies, medical examinations and rest facilities, making every effort to safeguard their lives and safety.
