On June 24, the CPC Committee of China Coast Guard organized staff to visit Xiangshan Museum, learn the CPC history and receive education on the CPC history.  

Xiangshan was an early site for the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the eve of the victory of the Chinese revolution. It is not only a place marking the transition of the revolutionary work center of gravity from rural areas to urban areas, but also a place witnessing the Chinese people moving from Old China to New China and starting their great national revival journey under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

Guided by the interpreters, visitors first came to a second-floor exhibition hall of the memorial hall and visited the special exhibition “Laying the Foundation of New China—The CPC Central Committee at Xiangshan”, comprehensively reviewed the glorious history of the nationwide victory of the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the history of the CPC’s preparation for the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and deeply cherished the memory of the great achievements of the first-generation revolutionaries headed by Comrade Mao Zedong.

In the exhibition hall with an area of 6,000 square meters, the 181-day history of the leaders of the CPC Central Committee headed by Comrade Mao Zedong was intensively exhibited. The exhibition consists of five parts and 15 units and it comprehensively demonstrates the brilliant revolutionary history of the CPC Central Committee when it was at Xiangshan. The five parts are respectively “Going to Beiping to ‘Take the Test’”, “Arriving at Xiangshan”, “Commanding the War to Liberate the Whole of China”, “Setting the Stage for the Founding of China” and “Staying True to Our Original Purpose, Firmly Keeping in Mind Our Mission, and Forging Ahead”.

The jeeps of the same model used to carry the leaders to Beijing “Take the Test”, the wooden boats used in the Crossing-the-Yangtze-River Campaign by the PLA men, the big red lanterns that were hung at the Founding Ceremony of the People’s Republic of China, … They were 1,200 silent cultural relics in total, 800 pictures and video materials. The past revolutionary events displayed by the videos were very touching. The visitors listened to the interpreters, deeply thought about what they heard or stopped to read and research. They deeply understood the firm original aspiration, mission and hard-working spirit of the Chinese communists.  

“It is my will to join the Communist Party of China, uphold the Party's program, observe the provisions of the Party Constitution, fulfill a Party member's duties, carry out the Party's decisions, …” Led by the leaders of CCG, all the visitors reviewed the oath after the visit was over. Facing the red party flag, all the party members loud spoke out the oath, the atmosphere was solemn and the voices of the people taking the oath resounded in the hall. Their original aspiration was reviewed and their continuous struggling spirit was motivated. The leaders directed the visitors to always remember their party memberships by letting them reviewing the oath, maintain the excellent tradition of the Communist Party of China, adhere to the ideals and faith and always maintain the true quality of the party members.   

On the long journey, what we should do is only always doing our best. All the visitors said that they learnt an important lesson on the CPC history from the visit, which further purified their party spirit, inspired their conscientiousness by reviewing the hard-working history of the first-generation revolutionaries, and mobilized their great enthusiasm and deep affection in learning the CPC history and loving the party and country. Next, they would remain true to their original aspiration, bravely undertake their great mission, focus on the maritime law enforcement cause, constantly strengthen their capabilities, absorb inexhaustible motive forces from the great CPC history, strive to build a powerful modern coast guard team, firmly completed the tasks assigned by the party and the people, and work hard and strive to make achievements to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China!
